I need to repair the bottom of my Sunfish Sailboat. Any Ideas? - old sunfish sailboats for sale
I have a sunfish that many small spider cracks in it. it is a little old and needs a repair on the underside. I wonder what is the best way to solve this problem? I go into the fiberglass and resin? Or something more
With luck, the cracks are only in the layer of frost. Verify that the leak did not pass through the fiber, because if they do, you will have a major repair job. If you are only surface cracks, the sandy soil around with wet sandpaper and then a layer of epoxy, sand smooth and completely determined by gel shift.
ReplyDeleteUse a dust filter for all the sand and remove the layer of epoxy and gel in a well ventilated room, with a breathing filter. They look like gas masks and can be rented in the shop, you get your supply of fiber. Safety First!
